Oh hi there!
My name is Sherri Taylor, and I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE), Certified Spelling to Communicate (S2C™) Practitioner, and Leadership and Faculty Member with the International Association for Spelling as Communication (I-ASC). My career has taken me through schools, occupational therapy clinics, community settings, and adult services — and every step of the way, one thing has remained constant: a deep belief that every individual deserves access, agency, and autonomy.
I have had the privilege of collaborating with clinicians, the Ontario Ministry, and individuals with lived experience to help shape the Ontario Autism Program — advocating for the inclusion of occupational therapy and mental health services to better meet the full range of needs within our community.
At Spellers Connect, I bring all of that experience into every session — helping spellers find their voice and access reliable communication, so they can be seen and heard as the intelligent individuals they are. And for the families beside them, I am here to help you show up confidently, carry learning into everyday life, and feel equipped instead of overwhelmed.
You don’t have to navigate this alone. I’m here to help.
Why Families Choose Spellers Connect
Experience you can trust. With over 30 years of neurodiversity-affirming practice across schools, clinics, and community settings, I bring deep knowledge of sensory integration, motor skill development, regulation, and communication — all under one roof.
Support that goes beyond the session. I don’t just work with spellers — I work with the people who show up for them every day. Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, or support staff, I’ll equip you with the tools, strategies, and confidence to carry learning into real life.
An advocate in your corner. I understand the systems — schools, IEPs, funding, and the Ontario Autism Program. I’ve helped shape them. I’ll help you navigate them.
A practice built on belief. I believe your speller is intelligent, capable, and has something to say. Everything I do is grounded in that truth — and in a commitment to helping them access the communication they deserve.
